Loved the old fashioned facilities. A great bar downstairs - friendly staff with great meals.
No lift, but this is to be expected. A minor inconvenience.

An older hotel with lots of character, undergoing some renovations. Friendly staff, adequate parking, convenient location.
Had to ask for towels after check-in, as there were none in the room. Unfortunately, we had no hot water when we attempted to shower before an early morning departure. No time to do anything about it, and too early to report it. Also, an early morning delivery of potatoes and eggs was leaning against the front door of the hotel, making it quite difficult for us to actually leave! Had to forcefully push the door open against the weight of the potatoes while trying to not knock over the several dozen eggs next to them.

The owners were friendly and visible. The bar was welcoming and the bar meals were acceptable if not exciting. It was surrounded by wonderful scenery.
The rooms are a little tired.

Good value, room was airy, staff were excellent. The breakfast offered lots of fab meals. Its location in Kilmelfort was particularly good and beautiful, not far from mountain, a very nice hike to the top of the hill and a lovely valley. It also was on the west coast of Scotland.
